Black Marquina

Black Marquina comes from the Basque region of northern Spain, where a black limestone is crossed by bright calcite veins. The contrast has made it a modern design classic, but its character is geological rather than graphic: each white line marks mineral change within the stone. It gives black a history and a pulse.
